L's Outfit: Back to Black

Hey all,

I'm here with a brand new outfit post.

 "Back to Black" is not about the song but about the feeling. 

Black is classic and strong, dark and intense, safe and scary, dangerous and remarkable. Black is feeling!

 Every outfit post has a story...here is the story about the Back to Black outfit, or a part of the story...

I bought this dress a few months ago. I was really happy with my purchase. When I first saw this black dress I imagined myself in it paired with a classic pair of pumps, in a fabulous party or for a nice date, wearing it exactly like I did for this post. 

As for my shoes, I was looking for a classic, black suède pair of pumps for almost three months. I finally found my (Cinderella) shoe in my two days trip to Patra and I was excited. 

I wore this outfit for the first time for this post...

 It's a classic outfit, you can wear it for a birthday party or any party, in a date, a wedding and for many other ceremonies and events.

  Είμαι και πάλι εδώ με ένα νέο outfit post.

 "Back to Black" δεν είναι μόνο τραγούδι αλλά και συναίσθημα.

Το μαύρο είναι κλασικό και δυνατό, σκοτεινό και έντονο, ασφαλές και τρομακτικό, επικίνδυνο και αξιοπρόσεκτο. Το μαύρο είναι συναίσθημα!

 Κάθε outfit έχει και μία ιστορία...αυτή είναι λοιπόν και η ιστορία για το "Back to Black", ή καλύτερα ένα μέρος της ιστορίας...

Αγόρασα αυτό το φόρεμα μερικούς μήνες πριν και ήμουν πολύ χαρούμενη με τη αγορά μου. Μόλις το πρώτο-αντίκρισα με φαντάστηκα μέσα σε αυτό, συνδυασμένο με κλασικές μαύρες γόβες σε ένα party ή σε ένα ραντεβού, φορώντας το ακριβώς όπως σε αυτήν την ανάρτηση.

Όσον αφορά τα παπούτσια, έψαχνα για ένα ζευγάρι κλασικές μαύρες σουέτ γόβες περίπου τρεις μήνες. Τελικά βρήκα το πολυπόθητο ζευγάρι σε μία διήμερη απόδραση στην Πάτρα και ήμουν ενθουσιασμένη.

 Είναι μία κλασική εμφάνιση, ιδανική για ένα πάρτι γενεθλίων ή οποιοδήποτε πάρτι, για ένα ραντεβού, για ένα γάμο, για όποια τελετή και εκδήλωση μπορεί να είστε προσκεκλημένες.

L's Outfit: Dear Santa

 Hey all,

 L is back!!! 

 It's been a loooong time since my last post but I'm finally back to my beloved F.G. with a brand new Christmas holiday outfit post. I have to confess that I wasn't so dedicated to Fashion Gossipology because the last few months I was struggling with many issues and changes in my life. Because of that  I didn't have enough time for blogging and I wasn't feel so inspired.  Now, I feel much better; with the new year comes new beginnings.

 Few weeks ago, Anastasia blogger of The howse project , my favourite photographer Foteini Z., the MakeUp Artist Athina Kouzmidou and I decided to do this Christmas photo shoot. We had a lot of fun posing and  playing around that day. This photo shoot took place in "Christmas Factory" in Technopolis, Gazi.

Dear Santa outfit post...

 In this Christmas holiday outfit post my style is casual - rock, I wear a leather like high waisted skirt (Fashion Trend - The Leather Effect), ankle boots, knee socks, a white hoodie shirt and of course Santa's hat.

 Anastasia's style is country - casual, she wear a floral high waisted skirt, a knitted crop top, knee socks, leather booties and Santa's hat.

    Μετά από πολύ καιρό είμαι και πάλι εδώ στο αγαπημένο μου F.G. με μία ολοκαίνουρια γιορτινή ανάρτηση. Πρέπει να ομολογήσω πως δεν ήμουν τόσο αφοσιωμένη στο Fashion Gossipology γιατί τους τελευταίους μήνες έπρεπε να αντιμετωπίσω πολλά θέματα και αλλαγές στη ζωή μου με αποτέλεσμα να μην έχω πολύ χρόνο για να γράφω αλλά ούτε ιδιαίτερη έμπνευση. Τώρα είμαι πολύ καλύτερα και ένας νέος χρόνος με νέα ξεκινήματα έρχεται. 

 Πριν από μερικές εβδομάδες λοιπόν, η Αναστασία από το The howse project, η αγαπημένη μου φωτογράφος Foteini Z., η MakeUp Artist Athina Kouzmidou   και εγώ αποφασίσαμε να κάνουμε αυτήν τη Χριστουγεννιάτικη φωτογράφιση.  Διασκεδάσαμε αρκετά κατά τη διάρκεια της φωτογράφισης η οποία έγινε στο "Christmas Factory" στην Τεχνόπολη στο Γκάζι. 

 Αυτή η ανάρτηση είναι για τη νέα χρονιά! Αυτοί λοιπόν είναι οι στόχοι μου για το 2015 ή αλλιώς...Αγαπητέ Άγιε Βασίλη αυτή τη χρονιά θέλω:

1. Να είμαι χαρούμενη
2. Να είμαι πιο φιλόδοξη
3. Να ανακαλύψω ποια είμαι και τι θέλω από τη ζωή μου
4. Να κάνω περισσότερα ταξίδια
5. Να είμαι περισσότερο αφοσιωμένη στο Fashion Gossipology                                  

  Σε αυτήν τη Χριστουγεννιάτικη - γιορτινή ανάρτηση επέλεξα το στυλ μου να είναι λίγο ροκ και να φορέσω μία ψηλόμεση, τύπου δερμάτινη φούστα (Fashion Trend - The Leather Effect), ένα λευκό μπλουζάκι με κουκούλα, μποτίνια, κάλτσες έως το γόνατο και φυσικά το σκουφί του Άγιου Βασίλη. 

 Η Αναστασία με πιο καθημερινό στυλ, φοράει μία ψηλόμεση λουλουδάτη φούστα, ένα πλεκτό κοντό μπλουζάκι, κάλτσες έως το γόνατο, δερμάτινα μποτάκια και το σκούφο του Άγιου Βασίλη.

L's Outfit: Made in Italy

Hey all!!

 This is a spring outfit post that I made a month ago but I hadn't enough time to finish it then. This post is inspired from my trip in Rome, in February with my girlfriends. It's entitled  "Made in Italy" because my dress and my shoes are made in Italy and I purchased them in Rome.

 Rome is a fantastic historic city. There are many sightseeing to visit and the whole city is a masterpiece. I stayed there for 4 days and of course weren't enough to see all I wanted to see. But I'm not here to write about history and travels, this is Fashion Gossipology so, the main story is always about fashion.

 Notes about Italian Fashion (only, from my experience in Rome):

•  Italy is one of the leading countries in fashion!  The world's most famous fashion houses and designers are Italians. Dolce&Gabbana, Armani, Moschino, Prada, Giuseppe Zanotti, Versace, Valentino, Gucci and many others.
•  Italian women love the casual chic style and sometimes are conservatives. They like a sexy look but the nakedness is not a style choice for them. They also love heels.
•  I am not impressed by the women's style in Italy because it's a style that many women in Greece already wear. But, omg for the males!!! I am so impressed by them. Italian men are so elegant. Coats, coloured pants, amazing shoes, scarves, accessories and lovely details. I noticed just a few of them in denim pants. They are really well dressed!! (Italians are also, very sociable and they love flirting with girls in public streets. I found it very funny and flattering).
•  Before my trip I was very happy because I was thinking so many things to buy. Unfortunately I'm not a rich girl and Rome, I can say, is an expensive city. However, a traveler can invest in leather products like shoes, gloves and purses at a low price and good quality. I bought a pair of leather booties there for me (check out my outfit pics). Once again, Rome is a paradise for a man who love fashion.
•  Where to shop? I found many-many lovely things to buy but I couldn't afford them. I wanted to buy Italian clothes so bad but I wanted to buy smart. So, we found a street near Piazza Navona (I really can't remember the name of the street) with some shops of Italian designers and brands that they are not so famous but they are very talented and have interesting, affordable clothes. I purchased my dress there.

 Αυτή είναι μία ανοιξιάτικη ανάρτηση, που έφτιαξα ένα μήνα πριν αλλά δεν είχα αρκετό χρόνο να την τελειώσω. Έχω εμπνευστεί από ένα ταξίδι που έκανα στη Ρώμη το Φεβρουάριο με τις φίλες μου. Το ονόμασα "Made in Italy" επειδή το φόρεμα και τα παπούτσια είναι κατασκευασμένα εκεί και τα αγόρασα από τη Ρώμη.

 Η Ρώμη είναι μία υπέροχη, ιστορική πόλη. Υπάρχουν πάρα πολλά αξιοθέατα να δει κανείς και να επισκεφτεί και ολόκληρη η πόλη αποτελεί ένα αριστούργημα. Έμεινα εκεί για τέσσερις ημέρες που φυσικά δεν ήταν αρκετές για να δω όλα όσα ήθελα. Αλλά δεν είμαι εδώ για να γράψω για ιστορία και ταξίδια, είμαστε στο Fashion Gossipology και το κεντρικό θέμα είναι πάντα η μόδα.

 Σημειώσεις για την Ιταλική μόδα (από την εμπειρία μου στη Ρώμη και μόνο):

• Ιταλία=Μόδα. Μία πλειοψηφία των διασημότερων οίκων και σχεδιαστών μόδας είναι Ιταλοί. Dolce&Gabbana, Armani, Moschino, Prada, Giuseppe Zanotti, Versace, Valentino, Gucci και πολλοί άλλοι.
• Οι Ιταλίδες αγαπούν τον καθημερινό κομψό τρόπο ντυσίματος και μερικές φορές μπορείς να χαρακτηρίσεις το στυλ τους συντηρητικό. Τους αρέσει να είναι σέξι αλλά όχι τα πολύ αποκαλυπτικά ρούχα. Επίσης αγαπούν να φορούν τακούνια.
• Δεν εντυπωσιάστηκα από το στυλ των Ιταλίδων, επειδή είναι κάτι που όλο και κάπου παρατηρώ στην Ελλάδα. Αλλά, ω Θεέ για τους άντρες!!! Είμαι τόσο εντυπωσιασμένη από το στυλ τους, που ότι γράφω εδώ είναι λίγο. Οι Ιταλοί είναι εξαιρετικά κομψοί. Παλτό, υφασμάτινα παντελόνια, χρώματα, κασκόλ, αξεσουάρ, καταπληκτικά παπούτσια και σημασία στις λεπτομέρειες. Ελάχιστοι φορούν τζιν παντελόνι καθημερινά. Είναι πραγματικά καλοντυμένοι. (Επίσης, είναι κοινωνικοί και τους αρέσει να φλερτάρουν στους δρόμους. Πράγμα που βρήκα διασκεδαστικό και κολακευτικό).
• Πριν το ταξίδι μου στη Ρώμη, είχα άπειρα πράγματα στο νου μου να ψωνίσω. Αλλά δυστυχώς δεν είμαι πλούσιο κορίτσι και η Ρώμη μπορώ να πω πως δεν είναι καμιά φθηνή πόλη, κάθε άλλο. Παρ' όλα αυτά ένας ταξιδιώτης εκεί μπορεί να επενδύσει στην αγορά δερμάτινων προϊόντων, όπως παπούτσια, τσάντες, γάντια σε πολύ καλές τιμές και ποιότητα. Αγόρασα εκεί ένα ζευγάρι μποτίνια για εμένα (αυτό που βλέπετε στις φωτογραφίες). Για ακόμα μία φορά, η Ρώμη αποτελεί παράδεισο για τον άντρα που αγαπά τη μόδα και το καλό ντύσιμο.
• Που να ψωνίσεις; Βρήκα πολλά υπέροχα πράγματα να ψωνίσω αλλά δεν τα άντεχε το τσεπάκι μου. Ήθελα όμως πολύ να ψωνίσω ιταλικά ρούχα. Βρήκαμε λοιπόν ένα δρόμο κοντά στην Piazza Navona, (πραγματικά, το όνομα του δρόμου δεν το θυμήθηκα ποτέ) με καταστήματα Ιταλών σχεδιαστών και εταιρειών που δεν είναι τόσο διάσημοι αλλά είναι ταλαντούχοι και έχουν αρκετά ενδιαφέροντα και προσιτής τιμής ρούχα. Εκεί βρήκα το φόρεμα της ανάρτησης.

  Για αυτή την ανοιξιάτικη ανάρτηση επέλεξα ένα Ιταλικό λουλουδάτο φόρεμα (θυμάσαι την ανάρτηση Fashion Trend - Florals;) τα Ιταλικά δερμάτινα μποτίνια μου, μία ζακέτα και κάποια αξεσουάρ.

I enjoyed a lot of window shopping and I fell in love with this perfect pair of Sergio Rossi boots!! (I wish i could have them!!)

L's Outfit: Dress in Layers!

 Hello people!!

 This is the first outfit post for Fashion Gossipology!

 How so? First of all, many of you have complained to me that I haven't made any post about myself and I haven't written so many things in my profile info. Secondly, I got a new pair of Spring pumps and you asked for an outfit post. Lastly, my photographer and friend Foteini Z. thought that I had to make a post like this and I felt that the time was right.

 So, few Sundays ago we decided to do this photo shooting. It was March already, the day came with a bright sun but around noon this beautiful Sunday became cloudy and the wind was messing with my hair. I decided that I had to choose a proper outfit for an early Spring day like this. In Winter/Spring transition days, we don't know how to dress ourselves because of the temperature swings. But I found my answer.

 The answer is: dress in layers. Layers can keep us warm enough and when it gets too hot, we just slip off a layer.

  So, I put on my striped shirt, my knit-loose cardigan, a leather-like jacket (Check out the: Fashion Trend - The Leather Effect), my ripped denim, my new Sante pumps and for more spring colour a necklace.

  Αυτό είναι το πρώτο outfit post  για το Fashion Gossipology!

 Πως έτσι; Αρχικά, αρκετοί από εσάς μου έχετε εκφράσει ως παράπονο πως δεν έχω κάποια ανάρτηση σχετική με εμένα και ούτε γράφω πολλά στις πληροφορίες του προφίλ. Επίσης, απέκτησα ένα νέο ζευγάρι ανοιξιάτικες γόβες και ζητήσατε ένα outfit post. Και τέλος, η φωτογράφος και φίλη μου Foteini Z. σκέφτηκε πως έπρεπε να ανεβάσω στο ιστολόγιο μία τέτοιου είδους ανάρτηση και εγώ ένοιωσα πως ίσως ήρθε η ώρα για κάτι τέτοιο.

 Μερικές Κυριακές πριν λοιπόν, αποφασίσαμε να κάνουμε αυτήν τη φωτογράφιση. Είχε ήδη μπει ο Μάρτιος, η ημέρα ξεκίνησε με ένα λαμπερό ήλιο, κάπου το μεσημέρι συννέφιασε και ο αέρας ανακάτευε τα μαλλιά μου (όπως θα παρατηρήσετε στις φωτογραφίες). Αποφάσισα πως έπρεπε να διαλέξω μία εμφάνιση κατάλληλη για μία ανοιξιάτικη ημέρα σαν τη σημερινή. Οι πρώτες ανοιξιάτικες ημέρες χαρακτηρίζονται από τις μεγάλες διαφορές θερμοκρασίας και τον άστατο καιρό με αποτέλεσμα να μην ξέρουμε πως να ντυθούμε.

 Αλλά βρήκα την απάντηση μου. Η απάντηση είναι: ντύσου με αρκετά "επίπεδα" ρούχων, δηλαδή το ένα πάνω στο άλλο. Αυτός ο τύπος ντυσίματος θα μας κρατήσει ζεστούς και αν νιώσουμε πως η θερμοκρασία ανεβαίνει αρκετά μπορούμε να αφαιρέσουμε κάποιο ρούχο.
 Έτσι λοιπόν, εγώ επέλεξα ένα ριγέ t-shirt, την πλεκτή, χαλαρή μου ζακέτα, το τύπου δερμάτινο jacket μου (Βρες εδώ την τάση: Fashion Trend - The Leather Effect), ένα σκισμένο τζιν, τις νέες Sante γόβες μου και για περισσότερο ανοιξιάτικο χρώμα ένα κολιέ.
 Παραπάνω θα βρεις όλες τις λεπτομέρειες ...

We had so much fun during the photo shooting! It was the first time so, I had no idea what to do and where to stand. The wind was messing with my hair all the time and I was looking  goofy in some photos. I really enjoyed it!

Who is Athina Kouzmidou?

 Athina is a professional makeup artist-cosmetologist and beautician. She graduated from Technological Educational Institute of Athens in 2009 and she is working as makeup artist and beautician the last 9 years. Also, she is a mother of a baby boy.  What do you find fascinating about your job?
 My job as makeup artist allows me to fully express myself! When I take the makeup brushes in my hands my big intention is to see the smile of satisfaction and happiness at the end of my work. This is what I find fascinating about my job and this is what motivates me to try harder.

 Where do you get inspiration for your work?
 Every new face that I meet is an inspiration for me! I try to understand what she likes and to show off  all the beautiful features she has! I'm inspired from woman's personality  and my intention is to do a makeup that fits perfectly in her style!

 Describe your personal style
 My everyday style is casual with rock details. For a formal occasion I prefer a girly look but I would never reject the possibility of a different kind of style.

What are your favorite designers/brands and places to shop?
 I prefer to shop in malls and I don't pay so much attention to brands and designers; I just buy whatever I would like to wear. However, I have to say that Michael Kors is a fashion designer that I like.  

 The first thing you look at in another person's outfit is:
 The total look but sometimes I pay more attention to shoes and bag.

 The first thing you look at in another person's makeup is:
 Everything matters! At first I look at the whole face picture but I notice the right color choices, the makeup base and the blush.

 Your favorite color of the moment is:
 Pink...every shade of pink.

 What is your next "must have" purchase?
 There are so many things I wanna buy!! My next purchase I want to be a new pair of high heel pumps in a vivid color.

 What is your favorite item in your closet?
 I love my dresses.

 Are there any fashion icons or famous people whose style you admire?
 Blake Lively.

 What can't you live without?
 Water.

 What is the most important beauty advice that you can give to women?

 They should take constantly care of their skin. The every day and night face cleansing and moisturizing is very important. They have to use the right products for their skin type and don't ever forget their suncream!

 What products do you think should be a staple in every woman's purse?
 Lip balm and blush.

 What are some of your favorite products in your makeup kit?
 The shimmering illuminating powders, a primer by MAC and the micro foundation cache by Kryolan.

 Your goal for 2014 is:
 To make beautiful more women.
